Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms before booking driving lessons or purchasing a lesson package from DroptheL Driving School.

Cancellation notice: Please give at least 48 working hours' notice if you need to cancel or rearrange a lesson. Bulk lesson payments are non-refundable, subject to your statutory rights.

1. Booking lessons

Lessons are subject to availability. A booking is confirmed when DroptheL has accepted the booking and any required payment or deposit has been made. Please make sure your contact details are accurate.

2. Cancelling or rearranging a lesson

You must give at least 48 working hours' notice to cancel or rearrange a lesson. Where less notice is given, the lesson may be charged in full or treated as used, except where the law requires otherwise or DroptheL agrees an exception.

To cancel or rearrange, contact DroptheL directly using the contact details below. A message is not treated as received until it has been received by DroptheL.

3. Bulk lesson payments and packages

Payments for bulk lesson packages are non-refundable as a general booking policy. This policy does not remove or limit any rights you may have under consumer law, including any applicable cancellation rights, rights relating to services not provided, or remedies where a service has not been delivered with reasonable care and skill.

Package lessons are intended for the person named at purchase and are subject to availability and any package-specific conditions explained at the time of purchase.

4. Payments

Lesson and package prices, accepted payment methods and any payment deadlines will be confirmed at the time of booking or purchase. Please ensure payments are made by the agreed date.

5. Learner responsibilities

  • You must hold a valid provisional or full driving licence appropriate to the lesson.
  • You must bring your licence details to lessons when requested.
  • You must be fit to drive and tell your instructor about anything that may affect your ability to drive safely.
  • You must follow the instructor's safety instructions throughout each lesson.
  • You are responsible for arriving on time. If you arrive late, the lesson may still finish at its scheduled time.

6. Instructor discretion and safety

Your instructor may postpone or end a lesson if they reasonably believe it would be unsafe or unlawful to continue, including where a learner is not fit to drive or required documents are not available.

7. Delays or cancellations by DroptheL

If DroptheL needs to cancel or rearrange a lesson, we will aim to give as much notice as reasonably possible and offer an alternative appointment. If a prepaid lesson cannot be provided and no alternative is agreed, the appropriate payment remedy will be arranged in line with applicable law.

8. Complaints and contact

If you have a concern about a lesson, payment or booking, please contact us so we can try to resolve it.
